    Yes, organisations can absolutely mandate vaccination. Nonetheless, employees who have a valid medical contraindication that is substantiated can refuse vaccination.
    For example, the case of Barber v Goodstart Early Learning [2021] FWC 2156 was determined to be a lawful dismissal concerning the flu vaccination for the alleged contraindication was not substantiated.
    It is important to note however, the limitation of vaccine contraindication is incredibly narrow.
    Whilst an employer can mandate Covid-19 vaccination, can they still be held liable if there is an adverse event concerning their employee?
